A friend of mine who shall remain nameless ( for he is ninja cat)

Sent me a very interesting Alpha leak video which i could not resist from posting
RUmmmmmmble Rummmmble
sorry about the terrible format it wont seem to embed correctly.
I have Absolultley no excuse for why I’ve been so terrible in updating this … that is a lie but its not a good excuse
It started small , with me having to delete a post that I’d worked on explaining my absence , was going to be due to us buying a house. My better half decided she didn’t want me telling “people” about our attempted house purchase , especially as I’d included a picture , which probably wasn’t the smartest of ideas but I was excited and wanted to share stuff.
So for the last few months , we have been trying to sort out this house purchase , which turns out is quite an involved process , this including us becoming homeless when our sale was delayed. Fortunately we have moved in with my parents for a while , which although isnt ideal has been easier than we’d ever hoped .
Couple that with Uni work , and vague attempts at having a life and the time just FLEW …
ill try not to let it happen again.
Once again im here to apoligise for the inactivity , however this time it wasnt my fault annoying as it may be my hosting went down for a bit , and only required “mild shouting” before it was fixed.
expect slackness of updates untill all my exams / cw is in
twas the night before christmas … and no-one was stirring , not even catbert with his new toy mouse

I hope you get lots of these ....
Im off to spend christmas with various relatives
so i wont be about much
All thats left to say is
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL …
Have a fantastic new year too
From Me
Sorry for the absolutely terrible lack of updates i’ve been drowning in a combination of uni work and the fact that my birthday came and went …The hangover was epic >.<
I’d definately reccomend going where I went however , Brouge is a belgian style bisto / bar that does a very extensive range of things to kill your liver whilst still tasting great The steak was Fab too . anyway I shall resume at least weekly updates from about the 18th ish onwards
Our fridge has been going wrong for a while now we’ve complained to our landlord quite a few times about various issues from leaking , not closing , it needs defrosting every two weeks to prevent the freezer from creating an iceberg so thick that anything inside, food wise is more likely to be discovered by climatologists in the arctic than found when we wanna eat it.
So far our landlord hadn’t done anything about it, not even a reply to say he didn’t care,

its not really pink
we even went as far as offering to buy our own providing he could take the old one away
because our flats not big enough to store his broken one but still silence.
It was on one of these routine defrosts that my partner Dina was………. “Assisting the freezer” with a kitchen knife when she accidently put a hole in the lining of the ice box there was an almighty blast and she was sprayed with CFC gas (yes it was that old) we reported this to our agent…. without “mention of a knife” low and behold after 3 days of having to use our balcony to store cold foodstuffs, we get a new fridge freezer.
I’m not saying it’s good or I’m right to have not replaced it myself but it seemed a hell of a lot more effective than 6 months of official requests.
Does white lying to get something we desperately needed make me a bad person, or is honesty not always 100% the best policy?
Speculation on the topic of where the mobile web is going is a risky business who can predict the future … well usually the very very rich , but I do have some thoughts on where mobile internet heading and what is believe is its almost completely here.

There have been a trailblazers, like the I-phone which overcame a lot of the difficulties with navigation on a mobile device. Its done this by perfecting features which aren’t new, such as smart scaling and touch screen interactivity. This has made the mouse dominated point and click internet accessible to mobiles. The result is we are seeing clones of this technology its really opened up the ways we can use the web on the move.
Hopefully these features will begin to become conventions for mobile browsers and portable devices, at the moment each device navigates differently making it very hard for a web designer to write mobile sites for all mobile browsers. With mobile conventions in mind I would like to comment on App’s, I think the mobile internet could move down the App route. Let me explain what I mean by this.
We already use apps to to connect to online services like Face book , or E bay even You tube they are faster that going to the actual online page and loading it up inside our mobiles web browser.
I’m going to consider how the weather app on the I-phone works to give an example of how I think apps will be moving forward.
When you touch the weather Icon Its extremely fast, much less than a second to load up and actually has a decent amount of graphics on the page. This is because your phone has a lot of that data stored inside the App itself, all the images and background are already saved , as offline content. So what it does when you run the app Is fill in the blank spaces with online information to give you a fast update of weather for the area.
Now imagine if you could “app” any website you went to for fast connecting and have a list of those pages we use regularly like we do with favourites pre saved to our mobile device by having a template for those sites saved and our mobile browser just updating the content.
This I would love to see , I wonder if anyone is developing an idea like it or maybe I should start.
What follows is my answer to a question from some work ive been doing its discussing why people are still afraid to buy online i thought it was pretty good what do you think ?
Some people are afraid to buy online , this isn’t just the technophobic Luddite’s refusing to change their ways this is a pretty big demographic. When you think about it there is something different about the online market place as a shopping platform.
Traditionally people are afraid of what they do not understand and its natural that with a new media like online sales initially people wont trust it entirely . Its natural for people to want to instantly hand over their money and get the goods right there and then. This is a strong indicator that traditional shopping wont ever really vanish in my opinion.
I think the reason people are afraid of shopping online is down to trust people often don’t trust small companies , They aren’t aware of the protection available online through money managing software such as pay pal and their credit / debit cards This is supported by quite a bit of negative media on the topic , “online fraud” “identify theft” and “cyber crime” all big topics covered over and over again in the news.
When it all boils down to it this is a bit of a miss-conception, you arent at more at risk when you buy online, its just as likely that these things can happen to you over the phone or in person as through the net.
Provided you take the same precautions online as you do in the outside world you will be as safe in both I mean you wouldn’t let someone look at your pin number at an ATM so why let them do so online.
As a result of this fear, especially of smaller businesses online , big companies have begun lending credibility to the smaller ones , think E bay , pay pal , and verified by visa. Even Amazons approved reseller program by letting people know you can trust these companies you make it much more likely you will be bought from and as a result you will get more sales.
It comes down to trust if you can be seen as being trustworthy you can get sales.
